Beach Ed
On Wednesday 3rd of February 2018 we went to Waihi beach to learn how to be water smart at the beach, First we went in the car and I went with Dakota, Trinity, and Jaida, for the whole way there we were laughing about everything, and then all of a sudden it went quite then we all laughed again, then we got there and put all of our stuff under the patio.
We went inside and learned the rules of how to be water smart there were 10 rules and then Caitlyn said them all out with some help of the year 8’s, we then played 2 games outside they were seaweed and beach flag, after that we had lunch and played lifeguard said, it was really fun and challenging, then we had lunch and got ready to swim, we did some activities in the water and then had a free swim.
The three things I learnt were 1. How to recognize a rip
2. To always have someone with me at the beach and 3. Rips can be very useful for surfers
